Early Years:

The concept of Solidarity International was developed by Mr. Rajendra Gautam in 2008 to build solidarity among youth from developed and developing nations. Today, SI has spread to  seven regions and continents to attract young people who wish to work against poverty  and inequality  worldwide.

Mr. Rajendra Gautam is the Founder & Chairman of Solidarity Group – one of the growing business conglomerates in Nepal, Founder Chairman of Solidarity Investment Company Pvt. Ltd. – an investment company founded with a main motive of collective investment in Real Estate & to explore other investment avenues of national priorities in the near future, Founder and Director of Chhimeki Investment Company Pvt. Ltd., Board of Director of Shantipur Saving & Credit Co-operative Ltd., Founder of Solidarity International – a growing international philanthropic organization based in Nepal with large network of members and volunteers worldwide. He is also the Founder President of Solidarity Nepal – An NGO working for social transformation in Nepal and also the Former President & CEO of SI. He was the SI president from Feb 2008 to May 2020. 

Social Recognition 2017

He completed Master’s Degree in  Social Work (MSW) from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu and pursuing Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) at Nepal Law Campus, Kathmandu. Young Social Activist, Gautam is a freelance writer and also the Past President of Rotaract Club of Kathmandu, Rotary International District 3292 and currently serving as a Member of Rotary Club of Kathmandu, The first Rotary Club of Nepal. 

Youth Award 2016

Mr. Gautam was awarded in National level by different organizations with title “Peace Hero Nepal 2019”, “Change Maker Award 2018”,  “Social Recognition 2017”, “Youth Award 2016”, “Social Innovation Award 2015” and “National Peace Prize 2013” to honor his hard work. As a Founder of SI, he has traveled to Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand.
